Retaliation

What is Considered Retaliation in the Workplace?

Picture
Retaliation happens when an employer takes an adverse employment against you (suspensions, terminations, demotions, etc.) because of your engagement in a protected activity such as filing a wage claim, making a  complaint about safety or improper medical treatment, or testifying on behalf of another employee in their claim against the employer.

If you are a whistleblower, or even a potential whistleblower, do not hesitate to contact our office for a free consultation about your rights and responsibilities. You can make a difference in stopping the abuses of companies large and small, done in the name of profit.

Your Case Matters

Not every firing or employment action is illegal, but all too often employees are too scared to question authority and are not aware of all of their rights.  That means businesses and corporations can get away with acting as though that they are more important than any one of us.
